Actor Aaron Eckhart got the lead role in The Expatriate, an upcoming action thriller directed by Philipp Stolzl and based on a script by A.E. Amel. The story revolves around an ex-CIA agent and his estranged daughter who are forced on the run when his employers mark them both for termination as part of a wide-reaching international conspiracy. Besides Aaron Eckhart, the film is also starring Olga Kurylenko and Liana Liberato. The film will be released sometime in 2012.
Here's a first look at Aaron Eckhart in the Expatriate movie:

Plot:
"Former CIA agent Ben Logan (Aaron Eckhart) hopes to make a fresh start with his estranged 15-year-old daughter Amy (Liana Liberato). He takes work in Belgium as a security expert for a large multinational corporation. Arriving one morning to work, Logan discovers his division no longer exists, his colleagues have all vanished, and his assistant is actually a trained operative intent on killing both him and his daughter. To survive long enough to figure out what happened and why someone wants them killed, Logan and Amy flee, with a highly trained kill squad in pursuit. Father and daughter, little more than strangers, must rely on one another and learn to trust each other. That trust is threatened when Amy learns the truth about her father's past."
I heard Olga Kurylenko plays a CIA agent assigned to track down her former CIA partner and lover, the character played by Eckhart. A trivia piece: Aaron Eckhart trained four months in jujitsu and mixed martial arts to prepare for his role: he learned about self-reliance, street fighting, how to get out of a knife fight, stuff like that. He's becoming a real killing machine, do don't mess with him from now on!
